“I practice yoga for inner strength and toning of the body. It makes me feel so good! I love Charlene’s Cardio-Pilates class – she is the best!”
~Pam DiCapo
“I have done Cardio_Pilates for the past 6 months – I have lost an inch from my waist and gained muscle tone in my legs without bulk. Cardio-Pilates is a great complement to my Hot Yoga classes.”
All of our classes are designed to accommodate any level of yogi from beginners to seasoned practitioners. We offer a variety of yoga style classes to accommodate differing preferences in workout styles.
This is a sequence of asana (postures) and pranyama exercises (breathing techniques) practiced in a heated room which allows you to work deeper to release toxins and stress while building strength, flexibility, cardiovascular, and mental and physical determination and focus.
This is a prefect compliment to any athletic pursuit as it helps minimize the damaging effects most sports and workout programs have on the spine, joints and organs. This vigorous practice is designed to work the entire body as a system, toning and shaping muscles while working the internal organs to create inner health and vitality.
Less heat – same great benefits of the hot-style yoga. This modified version offers a more meditative practice, focusing deeper on each posture while still providing a vigorous workout that will challenge the mind and body while reducing stress, sharpening mental clarity, increasing flexibility and building tone – just with less heat and a few NEW poses.
While hot-style yoga follows the same series each time with 2 sets each, Warm Yoga exercises some flexibility doing just one set of some poses and adding new poses that work specific areas of the body such as opening up the hips, the neck muscles or shoulders for example. This is a wonderfully relaxing, yet physically challenging class.
The gentle approach to this class allows the most novice yogi to easily begin their yoga practice, yet still has restorative benefits for seasoned yogis. Working at your own pace you will relieve stress while building flexibility and strength. This non-heated class uses a friendly approach to teaching; focusing on the many health benefits of yoga through flowing movements and breathing exercises. Pose modifications and options allow all levels to enjoy this class.
Vinyasa is a dynamic, moving style of yoga in which you will be guided through a series of poses, each pose linked to the next with a flowing transition and cued breathing. This combination of static poses, flowing transitions, and mindful breathing will help you to become stronger, more flexible, tone your core, improve your balance, detoxify your organs, build endurance, calm your nerves, and release daily stress. You will learn how to correctly do standing poses, seated poses, balances, twists, inversions, backward and forward bends. You will also learn how to use your breath to quiet the chatter of the mind to find peace and inner stillness. A fun, upbeat, moderately challenging class, Mixed-Levels Vinyasa Flow is suitable for injury-free students ranging from strong beginners to more experienced yoga students. Try this class and discover just how good yoga can make you feel!
Posture by posture, breath by breath, the mind/body integration that is Kripalu Yoga awakens the deepest levels of self-awareness. You will experience deep relaxation of mind and body – a perfect way to let go of the day’s stress and prepare for a new day. This is a practice that will help you live each day with a clear, open mind – freeing you to live with more confidence and compassion.
This is a challenging class for those students who want a vigorous yoga practice. This class will move at a more challenging pace with more intense postures. Not for beginners.
